I think it's about time I come on here and talk about some things.
I'm nearing the end of the lap band process, just had my 5th month of pre-op diet supervision. I have my 6th and final appointment on September 1st and then they will submit to insurance on the first of October. I have a feeling September is going to be super long and nerve wracking. :/
I have lost about 7 lbs since starting this process and before that I lost about 2-3 lbs since the beginning of the year. 9-10 lbs isn't a lot for 8 months, but it's better than nothing. I'm staying positive. I'm still reading "Bandwagon" by Jean McMillan. Very insightful, educational, overwhelming. I still have A LOT of work to do, but I'm very much prepared and working hard at it. I'v been doing Zumba 4x a week, sometimes 3, sometimes 5, but either way, it's an amazing workout and I burn a ton of calories.
I also started my orientation at the Humane Society on Saturday and I go back tomorrow (Monday) at 6p for my one-on-one training. I love animals, and the fact that I can't have a dog right now, I think this will help ease my frustration with that and at the same time helping these poor animals.
We are in our last 2 weeks of the summer schedule at work, kind of depressing, I rather enjoy getting off early on one Friday and having off the next. Oh well. Brian and I are going to Philly in September for his birthday. Going for 3 nights, Phillies game, Mutter Museum, Zoo, dinners, any anything else we can find. And just relaxing of course. We ended up having to book another night (Sunday) because the game isn't starting until 8p (ESPN picked it up) and the last train is at 8:55, so we'll be coming home on Monday now.
That's my bit of an update for now, hopefully I won't forget about ya next time. :)
